How you get paid

$200 at move-in. $100 per friend.

Apartment communities pay locators a referral fee when a renter we send signs a lease. Most services keep all of it. We share it, because we'd rather be the company you tell your friends about.

The $200 rebate

• Start your search with us before you tour or apply anywhere.
• Tell every community that DFW Apartment Co. referred you, at first contact. Most will ask you to put us on their guest card.
• Sign a lease of 6 months or longer at a community that pays locator fees (nearly all professionally managed communities do; we'll tell you if one doesn't).
• Move in. Once the community pays our invoice, typically 45–90 days after move-in, we send your $200 within 5 business days by Zelle or check.

The $100 referral bonus

• You get a personal code when you start a search.
• When someone uses it and their lease pays out, you get $100. No limit.

The fine print, in plain English

DFW Apartment Co. is compensated by apartment communities when a renter we refer signs a lease. A portion of that fee is rebated to you after the community pays. Rebates are contingent on you listing DFW Apartment Co. as your referral source at first contact with the property. If a community doesn't pay us, we can't pay a rebate on that lease. Rebates are not available on leases where we were not listed as the referral source. We'll always tell you before you sign whether a community qualifies.
